WHAT’S UP BOSTON – SPRING 2018
Time to shake off that late-winter snow, thaw our bones, and prepare for some springtime sunshine. This winter season teased us with a few days reaching temps in the 60s, so we’re stoked to take advantage of everything Boston has to offer when it’s not so frigid.
Here are some of our favorite events coming up this spring:
- Boston Marathon: Spend your Patriots’ Day rooting for the heroes who train for ages to run this annual, super elite race that ends in Copley Square. Or, if you’re inspired to run in a race of your own, keep your training going strong. April 16
- Women in Comedy Festival: Tig Notaro will headline the ninth annual WICF, where women take the lead in standup, improv, panel discussions, workshops, sketch, and more. April 19-22
- Army v. Navy at Fenway: Fenway Park will host the historic Army – Navy rivalry. Tickets (just $10!) benefit veterans suffering from PTSD. April 20
- Adam Larson at AIGSA Boston: Award-winning creative director Adam Larson will join in a conversation with designer Bonnie Siegler about how clients and creative professionals can collaborate better together. April 26
- Arts First Festival: Join in for four days of performances by Harvard students and staff throughout the Cambridge campus. April 26-29
- Greenway Open Market: Spend a day at the vibrant open-air artisan market featuring talented area artists, crafters, and independent designers. May-October
- Boston Calling: The three-day, multi-stage music festival will take over the Harvard Athletic Complex in Allston again this year, featuring artists like Eminem, The Killers, Jack White, Tyler the Creator, and loads more talent. May 25-27
- Check out the Blue Hills Bank Pavilion: For more live music outdoors, everyone from Vance Joy to Foreigner to David Byrne will be playing the Pavilion this spring and summer. May-September
- Design Museum Gala: Celebrate nine years of design impact at the Boston Design Museum’s 2018 gala: food, drinks, music, and great design. June 2
- Catch a concert at Fenway: Starting in June, you can enjoy live music like Zac Brown Band, Foo Fighters, Jimmy Buffett, and more. June-July
