Client Services is responsible for managing all client interactions, including project management, account development, and performance management with the goal of ensuring the client has the best experience possible. As a manager within this function, the role also has responsibility for any client services specialists that report to them including guaranteeing the performance of their direct reports, training on current practices, developing new skills, and hiring to fill open roles.
Account Manager Position Overview
Project Management Responsibilities:
- Setup all projects in the ERP system, establishing project schedules and aligning the team against the proposal.
- Setup regular internal and client meetings to ensure the project stays on track
- Manage all communications between client and creative teams, including meetings setup, coordination, preparation, and recaps.
- Maintain the status of projects and monitor daily activities.
- Ensure systems are being used by the Creative teams properly so progress can be tracked.
- Monitor time tracking to ensure proper allocation of hours, detect errors and address issues.
- Manage and monitor projects to ensure payment triggers are executed.
Account Management Responsibilities:
- Supporting the development or creating proposals.
- Execute all elements of the sales cycle from introduction through close.
- Develop relationships with clients, supporting them with strategic thinking, that leads to new opportunities for Sprout.
- Ensure all leads and prospects from existing clients are entered into CRM and appropriately pursued.
- Direct issues to the proper department, elevate critical issues to leadership as needed.
- Maintain client records and communication about account growth within the CRM.
- Recommend Sprout service to help Clients achieve their goals and grow their business.
Performance Management Responsibilities:
- Monitor progress on deliverables, schedules, and budgets.
- Support the resourcing process and identify resourcing risks against project timeline, budget, and quality indicators; monitor and assess resourcing throughout the project lifecycle by keeping upper management informed of any potential issues.
- Measuring and tracking project KPIs: Time/Task; Utilization; Profitability
- Generate progress reports for clients and senior leaders within the organization.
Qualifications:
- 5-10 years of professional marketing, ad agency, brand management, media, or related experience.
- Knowledge of communication mediums including animation, video, print, digital, social, email, collateral, and the production process supporting each.
- Experience working with external clients and internal agency teams.
- Knowledge of brand management and marketing for consumer brands.
- Knowledge of consumer research tools and methodologies.
- Education: BA or BS Marketing or Business Operations
- Technical skills: Proficiency in Google Workspace, and other relevant office management software, including accounting and project management systems. Experience with basic bookkeeping and expense management.
