Sprout Celebrates March Madness 2025

March Madness is in the books, and so is another year of Sprout Madness—our 5th annual bracket competition that puts design, rivalry, and trophy tradition at the center of the chaos.

This year’s winner? Marketing Manager Kelsey McNally, who pulled off a wild last-minute upset after Duke’s elimination flipped the leaderboard. Trailing through most of the competition, Kelsey’s faith in the Florida Gators—her husband’s alma mater—paid off big time, launching her into first place and earning her the cash prize, bragging rights, and a shiny new addition to her desk.

As always, the trophy was passed to the new champion—but not before receiving its yearly upgrade.

Following tradition, last year’s winner, visual designer C.J. Ray, took on the challenge of evolving the trophy. His concept was brought to life by visualization designer James Wolf, who modeled the latest update in Blender. Once finalized, it was 3D printed on our Bambu printer and assembled into the ever-growing, ever-glorious Sprout Madness trophy.

Check out a few photos from the process below, and check back next year to see how the trophy—and the competition—continues to grow. Because at Sprout, March Madness isn’t just about basketball. It’s about bold picks, design bragging rights, and one very coveted piece of hardware.
