Seagate Lyve Drive Awarded IDEA Featured Finalist 

Sprout is proud to announce that we have been selected as a Featured Finalist in the 2020 IDEA Awards. The Lyve Drive Modular System we designed in collaboration with Seagate earned a spot on the prestigious list in the Consumer Technology category. 

The Industrial Design Society of America (IDSA) hosts the Industrial Design Excellence Awards (IDEA) to recognize innovative products and services across a variety of categories, from commercial and home products to social impact to consumer and medical technology. In its 40th year, IDEA is one of the longest running and largest design award programs in the world. This year, the awards received over 1,800 entries from 25 different countries. 124 of those entries were chosen for awards.

The Lyve Drive is a mobile data storage system built for the future of the data sphere. It provides seamless plug-and-play solutions for data creation points, transport, and cloud storage. The multi-product family was designed with mobility in mind– mobile-mounting accessories allow each product to be mounted in to any vehicle or mobile data generating endpoint. Ultimately, these modular blocks can be integrated into an on-site or off-site RACK system that could store petabytes of data.

When we were designing the Lyve Drive we never could have predicted the unique technology demands that 2020 would bring, but we are stoked to deliver an innovative solution to the consumer technology market.
