Reflecting On a Year of Growth and Looking Forward to 2024

As we bid farewell to 2023 and welcome the dawn of the new year, I am filled with gratitude and excitement as I reflect on the incredible journey we have undertaken together at Sprout. As the CEO and Founder, I am honored to share some highlights from the past year and our vision for the future.

2023 has been a year of remarkable growth and achievement for Sprout. We have expanded our client base with 14 new and fantastic clients, surpassing a milestone of over 25 active clients. We have successfully completed over 85 projects in the last year, each a masterpiece showcasing our team’s versatility and commitment to delivering high-quality design solutions. From industrial design to visualization to graphics, our teams have poured their passion into their work, and we are eager to witness the profound impact of these projects in the marketplace.

This growth is a testament to the exceptional work and unwavering dedication of our extraordinarily talented team. I want to express my heartfelt thanks to each member of the Sprout team – which has also expanded, welcoming 15 new faces and bringing our team to over 45 talented individuals. Your passion, dedication, and creativity have been the driving force behind our success. Despite this growth, we are proud to report that the work/life balance within our studio remains steadfast, averaging less than 39 hours per week per team member. Together, we’ve cultivated a vibrant environment where ideas flourish, collaboration thrives, and success blossoms.

A noteworthy development this year was the addition of Dan Reilly as our COO. Dan has played a pivotal role in streamlining our operations, laying the groundwork for a significant push to scale the business over the next 3–5 years. Thank you, Dan.

The rekindled buzz around the studio and in Boston signals a return to normalcy that fills us with hope. The energy and creativity flowing through our space have been nothing short of invigorating, especially with the return of our team to the office. We also continue to embrace remote work and appreciate the balance it provides, and approximately 30 percent of our staff remain full-time remote.

Our commitment to the design community has also remained unwavering. From our Women in Industrial Design book launch in March, to our team members Natalia and Daniela leading the charge in the revitalization of the Boston Chapter of IDSA, these successes truly warm my heart.

The return to trade shows and industry events – including CES, KBIS, IHA, NECANN, and the IDSA National Conference – has been amazing. Also, our road shows, where we connect with clients and remote team members in person, have been invaluable for fostering strong and meaningful relationships and we look forward to continuing these in the new year.

Looking ahead, we eagerly anticipate the possibilities that 2024 holds and are filled with excitement for the creative journey ahead. With thrilling multidisciplinary projects in the pipeline, focusing on opportunities in EV, Sustainability, Age Tech, Robotics, and AI, we can’t wait to continue pushing the boundaries of design excellence to empower our clients and team to thrive in this rapidly changing world.

In closing, I extend my heartfelt thanks to each of you for being an indispensable part of our shared journey. Your support, creativity, and dedication have been the cornerstone of our collective growth.

As we usher in the holiday season, I wish you and your families a joyous time filled with creativity, innovation, and unparalleled success in the coming New Year.

With Warm Regards,

Jordan Nollman
