Hasbro sought to develop a new premium series featuring two of their most iconic board games, Monopoly and CLUE. This heirloom-quality version would feature high-end printing, materials, and surface finishes rarely seen in the board game category.
In order to sell-in the concept to senior management, Hasbro engaged Sprout’s visualization designers to develop an animation that would bring the concept to life and generate the excitement and enthusiasm required to green-light the project. Sprout produced a 60-second animation video to highlight each unique feature and premium elements including the player pieces, game board, cards, and dice. The results were a big hit with senior management and production of the game was approved for e-commerce and retail distribution.
To support Hasbro’s go-to-market strategy, we then revised the initial animation for reseller engagement in stores and online. The Signature Collection Monopoly and CLUE are now available on Amazon and other retailers, and have proven to be a good move by Hasbro as they quickly became coveted editions for board game collectors.
