Sprout served as Stellé’s full service design studio in a relationship that spanned eight years and included numerous product launches. Brought in when the company was founded in 2012, our designers were able to lay the groundwork for Stellé’s visual brand language, which we then applied to position the brand on a global scale to high-end retailers, store buyers, and sales-people alike.

Stellé sought to establish a fashion-forward, design-focused audio brand that bridged the gap between technology and style to appeal to high-end retailers like Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom, and Fred Siegel. Sprout was engaged to develop a product line that offered simple functionality and elegant design, including designing the packaging and merchandising to support the overall business strategy.

Sprout created a brand platform for Stellé that reflects the company’s passion for fashion and commitment to design excellence. After developing a cohesive identity across all elements of the brand, we then applied it to design multiple collections of premium Bluetooth speakers— including their packaging, retail merchandising and supporting product promotion.

In collaboration with Adam Larson of Adam&CO, Sprout laid the groundwork for Stellé’s brand and style guide. Our goal was to position Stellé as a fashion-forward, authentic, lifestyle focused brand with an elegant, iconic look and feel. From each speaker’s form and function to the packaging, the visual brand language is translated across the entire product line.

Stellé Pillar

Designed to bridge the gap between music, design, and technology, the Stellé Pillar complements an array of décor styles and provides unparalleled sound quality. It features easy-to-use controls, dazzling 360-degree sound, a 15-hour rechargeable battery, and a speakerphone for hands-free calls. Limited edition collections and collaborations with brands like Dwell studio, made it a must-have product for the fashionable music lover. In 2014 the Pillar was recognized as an honoree in the CES Design & Engineering Awards, and in 2015, the Pillar received a prestigious Red Dot Award for Product Design.

Designed with active people in mind the Go-Go Speaker™ offers simple, easy to use functionality and multiple attachments to accommodate many users. The Go-Go Speaker™ boasts sleek curves, a chic soft-touch white and metallic gold finish, and a lightweight frame. Its eye-catching aesthetic is rivaled only by its ultra-portability and functionality that fulfills the diverse needs of all types of active individuals from sports enthusiasts to new parents. Plus, the Go-Go Speaker™ was designed to sound as good as it looks.

Stellé Mini-Clutch™

The Mini-Clutch Speaker™ was designed to blend elegant styling, functional storage and premium sound. The Bluetooth-connected device has a built-in speaker for listening to music or making hands-free calls, opens to reveal a mirror and pocket for daily essentials, and it can even charge your phone through a coordinating USB. The clutch was offered in multiple materials and finishes to perfectly match any style, which also created opportunities for limited edition collaborations with well-known fashion brands including Rebecca Minkoff. In 2014, the Clutch was recognized as an honoree by the CES Design & Engineering Awards.

Retail Merchandising

Sprout created custom environments and merchandisers for Stellé Audio. These ranged from international trade show booths to luxury retail and point of purchase displays. With each venue and/or project, we crafted unique environmental solutions that boldly capture the Stellé Audio brand.

The Outcome

From 2012 to 2020, Sprout and Stellé Audio collaborated to create a globally recognized brand and a portfolio of functional, fashion-forward audio products. The simple, yet sophisticated product line was recognized by the CES Design & Engineering Awards and the Red Dot Awards and sold across high-end retailers including Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom, and Fred Siegel.
