Smart Roast Product Demo

Celebrated throughout the coffee roasting industry for their single burner convection design, Loring Smart Roast® asked Sprout to create an interactive product demo animation for their newest commercial coffee roasters. Loring needed a design team capable of visualizing this patented technology in meticulous detail supported by dynamic and engaging storytelling.  

Our process involved close collaboration with the Loring team to identify Color, Material, and Finish (CMF) preferences and lighting specifications, aligning our design direction with their vision to ensure seamless brand integration. We then developed a storyboard to spotlight the distinctive features and benefits of the S7 and S35 roasters, serving as a roadmap for a straightforward narrative within the interactive experience.

Sprout’s visualization designers translated this groundwork into photorealistic rendered views and animated sequences. Employing advanced rendering techniques, our team introduced particle simulations to illustrate bean flow, motion, and the roasting phase, thus enhancing the overall realism and impact of the product demonstration. 

From there, we developed an intuitive user interface that allows users to navigate through the two interactive product tours. Users can learn more about the unique features of each roaster, accompanied by additional animations, all seamlessly integrated into a standalone website. This powerful tool, poised to be the centerpiece to showcase Loring’s patented roasting technology, provides viewers with an immersive and informative experience.
